A new road has been opened in popular tourist destination, Nkhata Bay, according to Tourism Update.
The road has been named after President Arthur Peter Mutharika and links Mzuzu to Nkhata Bay, ending at the Nkhata Bay Jetty on Lake Malawi.
The ceremony was held on Tuesday, July 10, and attended by President Mutharika. The road cost an estimated K16.7 billion and is part of the Mtwara Development Corridor which links Malawi and Zambia to Mtwara Port in Tanzania.
